Pentatonic Y Pte. Ltd. located at 30 Cecil St, #19-08, Prudential Tower, Singapore 049712 (referred to as "Y-Cucumber", “we”, "our" or “us”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you visit our website https://www.ycucumber.com, and applies to the Y Cucumber mobile app including any other media form, media channel, mobile website, or mobile application related or connected thereto (collectively, the “Mobile App”). This Privacy Policy governs data collection, processing and usage in compliance with the Personal Data Protection Act 2012 (No. 26 of 2012) of Singapore (“PDPA”). By using the Mobile App, you consent to the data practices described in this policy.
Information we collect and receive
We may collect and receive personal information from you in the following situations:
- When you visit our website.
- When you register for an account with us (“Account”).
- When you perform the user verification process.
- When you choose to connect your Account with an external third-party service or application, such as Facebook, YouTube, etc.
- When you use the associated features, functions and services accessible from the Y-Cucumber website as described in the Terms and Conditions (collectively, referred to as the "Services"), for example, by creating listings, interacting with other users through our chatroom, or transacting with other users.
- If you contact us, for example, with a query, for feedback or to report a problem.
- When you interact with us offline or through an external third party.
You are under no obligation to provide the information to us. However, if you choose to withhold the information or to revoke permission for us to receive the information, we may be unable to provide certain aspects of our Services to you.
By providing us with any information relating to a third party (e.g., information of your spouse, children, parents, dependents, and/or employees), you represent to us that you have validly obtained the consent of the third party to provide us with their information for the respective purposes.
The personal information that we collect and receive from you, may include, but is not limited to the following (please note that not all Services collect all the listed information below):
- Account credentials such as username.
- Profile information such as, name, gender, mailing address, email address, profile photo, mobile number, date of birth
- Information required for enlisting and engaging services and to help you with your experience such as credit or debit card details, bank account, NRIC/National ID equivalent, qualification, address, mobile number.
- Location information such as last known location, engagement location.
- Any other information disclosed by you in any of the above-mentioned methods and/or through the use our platform.
- Aggregate data collected through the use of our platform.
- Any communications between you and other users of our platform.
Interaction of users
The chatroom feature is available for users to interact within the platform and keep track of the information shared within among users. The sole purpose of the chatroom is to further clarify the terms of services and conditions of engagement as enlisted by the users. Users are responsible for the information they choose to share with other users. Any form of abuse can be held accountable and will not be tolerated by the platform. We do not interfere or monitor with any form of communication within the platform unless a case was reported via the online contact form, which requires the intervention of authorities.
Use of Information/Data
We may use the information collected and received from you for the following purposes and any other purposes which we notify you of at the time of obtaining your consent:
- To verify your identity and occupation, update our records and generally maintain your Account with us.
- To personalize your experience and to allow us to deliver the type of content and product offerings in which you are most interested.
- Develop, operate, improve, deliver and maintain our Services.
- To process transactions.
- To communicate with you in relation to the Services via different channels (eg. by phone, email, chatroom, etc.).
- To process or resolve any dispute arising from or in connection with engagement of services within the platform, in accordance with our Data Protection Policy.
- To detect or monitor any frauds or other prohibited content, businesses or activities.
- To allow us to better service you in responding to your customer service queries and/or requests as well as to resolve any complaints.
- To facilitate, confirm and/or provide updates or notifications in relation to any transactions.
- Conduct surveys and analysis on how our platform is used and how we can improve them.
- To administer a contest, promotion, or other site feature.
- To send periodic emails regarding our Services.
- To prevent and detect fraud and abuse in order to protect the security of our users and others.
- To comply with the Anti-Money Laundering and Countering the Financing of Terrorism regulations provided by the Monetary Authority of Singapore as well as other applicable laws and regulations.

We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer to outside parties your personally identifiable information. This does not include website hosting partners and other parties who assist us in operating our website, conducting our business, or serving our users, so long as those parties agree to keep this information confidential. We may also release information when it's release is appropriate to comply with the law, enforce our site policies, or protect ours or others' rights, property or safety.

We strive to maintain the safety of your personal information. Any payment transactions will be encrypted secured through SSL (Secure Socket Layer) technology. You may access and update your information through the “Personal Info” tab on the Profile page of your Account. You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provided to us, as per stated in the “Accuracy of Personal Data” in the Data Protection Policy.
Subject to the exceptions referred to in section 21(2) of PDPA, you have the right to request a copy of the information that we hold about you. Please refer to “Access to and Correction of Personal Data” in the Data Protection Policy.
Cookies
We may use cookies to help us remember and process your information, understand and save your preferences for future visits and compile aggregate data about site traffic and site interaction so that we can offer better site experiences and tools in the future. We may contract with third-party service providers to assist us in better understanding our site visitors. These service providers are not permitted to use the information collected on our behalf except to help us conduct and improve our business.

Occasionally, at our discretion, we may include or offer third-party products or services on our website. These third-party sites have separate and independent privacy policies. Business Transfers
As we continue to develop our business, we might sell or buy other businesses or services. Y-Cucumber encourages users to periodically review this policy to be informed on how we protect, use, collect and store your data/information. Continued use of our platform shall constitute your acceptance and acknowledgement to be bound by the terms of the updated Privacy Policy.
