Pentatonic Y Pte. Ltd. (“we” or “us”) takes the privacy of your information seriously. This Privacy Policy applies to the Y Cucumber Mobile App (the “Mobile App”) and governs data collection, processing and usage in compliance with the Personal Data Protection Act 2012 (No. 26 of 2012) of Singapore (“PDPA”). By using the Mobile App, you consent to the data practices described in this statement. Capitalized terms that are not defined in this Privacy Policy have the meaning given to them in our Terms of Service and Data Protection Policy.
Information we collect and receive
We may collect and receive information from you in the following situations:
- When you register for an account with us (“Account”).
- When you do the user verification process.
- When you choose to connect your Account with an external third-party service or application, such as Facebook, YouTube, etc.
- When you use the features and functions available on our Services, for example, by creating listings, interacting with other users through our chatroom, or transacting with other users.
- If you contact us, for example, with a query, for feedback or to report a problem.
- When you interact with us offline or through an external third party.
You are under no obligation to provide the information to us. However, if you choose to withhold the information or to revoke permission for us to receive the information, we may be unable to provide certain aspects of our Services to you.
By providing us with any information relating to a third party (e.g., information of your spouse, children, parents, dependents, and/or employees), you represent to us that you have validly obtained the consent of the third party to provide us with their information for the respective purposes.
We may collect and receive the following information. Please note that not all Services collect all the listed information below:
- Account credentials such as username.
- Profile information such as, name, gender, email address, profile photo, mobile number, date of birth.
- Information required for enlisting and engaging services such as credit or debit card details, bank account, NRIC/National ID equivalent, qualification, address, mobile number.
- Location information such as last known location, engagement location.
- Any other information disclosed by you in any of the above-mentioned methods and/or through the use our platform.
- Aggregate data collected through the use of our platform.
- Any communications between you and other users of our platform.
Interaction of users
The chatroom feature is available for users to interact within the platform and keep track of the information shared within among users. The sole purpose of the chatroom is to further clarify the terms of services and conditions of engagement as enlisted by the users. Users are responsible for the information they choose to share with other users. Any form of abuse can be held accountable and will not be tolerated by the platform. We do not interfere or monitor with any form of communication within the platform unless a case was reported via the online contact form, which requires the intervention of authorities.
Use of Information/Data
We may use the information collected and received from you for the following purposes and any other purposes which we notify you of at the time of obtaining your consent:
- To verify your identity and occupation, update our records and generally maintain your Account with us.
- Customise the content shown to you.
- Develop, operate, improve, deliver and maintain our Services.
- To process transactions.
- To process or resolve any dispute arising from or in connection with engagement of services within the platform, in accordance with our Data Protection Policy.
- To detect or monitor any frauds or other prohibited content, businesses or activities.
- Responding to your queries and resolving complaints.
- To facilitate, confirm and/or provide updates or notifications in relation to any transactions.
- Conduct surveys and analysis on how our platform is used and how we can improve them.
- To comply with applicable Anti-Money Laundering and Countering the Financing of Terrorism regulations and other applicable laws and regulations.

We strive to maintain the safety of your Personal Information. Any payment transactions will be encrypted secured through SSL (Secure Socket Layer) technology. Unfortunately, no internet-based service is completely secure. Although we will do our best to protect your personal data, we cannot guarantee the security of your data transmitted to our site; any transmission is at your own risk. Once we have received your information, we will use strict procedures and security features to try to prevent unauthorised access.
It is important that you protect against unauthorised access of your account and information by keeping your account and relevant credentials secure.
Accessing and Updating Your Information
You may access and update your information through XXX page of your account. You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provided to us, as per stated in the “Accuracy of Personal Data” in the Data Protection Policy.
Subject to the exceptions referred to in section 21(2) of PDPA, you have the right to request a copy of the information that we hold about you. Please refer to “Access to and Correction of Personal Data” in the Data Protection Policy.

We reserve the right to make changes or amend this Privacy Statement in accordance to the necessity of law and compliances, and updates for pragmatism. Pentatonic Y Pte Ltd encourages users to periodically review this statement to be informed on how we protect your data/information. Your continued use of our platform constitutes your acceptances and acknowledgement of the updated Privacy Statement.
